Poipu Kai Resort
The Poipu Kai Resort is one of the most luxurious on the island of Kauai. It is known for its prime location and is comprised of a number of different condo complexes, as well as two residential areas. The resort is literally steps away from the beach. With a short stroll through the resort's tropical gardens, you can access Brennecke Beach and the world famous Poipu Beach (named the number one beach in America!) on its west side, with Shipwreck Beach on the east.
AMENITIES: The resort is replete with amenities, including 9 hard and soft tennis courts, hot tubs, swimming pools, jogging paths, and even a restaurant. Additionally, the Poipu Kai Resort is known for its relaxing atmosphere with over seventy acres of tropical gardens, you'll never finish exploring the beauty of the Garden Island.
CONDOS & HOMES: There are number of types of condos and homes in the resort. Most enjoy all resort amenities such as tennis courts, barbecues, the main resort pool and hot tub area. Although there are seven pools total in the resort not all visitors can use every pool. Most complexes have first floor and upper units and some units are multi-story inside.
The Kahala condos are closest to the resort's main pool, which includes a hot tub. The units are a bit smaller than in other complexes, but many have wonderful views down the greenbelt and west toward the ocean.
East of the Kahala's are several Regency condo buildings. The floor plans are similar, but amenities vary based on when they were built. There is a pool dedicated to Kahala guests, who may also use the main resort pool.
Across the greenbelt from the Kahalas is the 9-building Manualoha complex. These units are usually larger and have a nice Hawaiian feel. Manualoha has its own pool close to Brenecke's Beach. Due to its location and view, the pool is one of the most photographed in the area.
Just before crossing Pe'e Road and tucked up against a small hill are the Makanui condos, which also have their own pool area. These units are multi-story.
Further east along the greenbelt, the residential areas of Bayview and Lanai Villas can be found, which include rental homes. Most of these are very nice larger houses.
Then to the South from the homes is the Poipu Sands complex, which faces East toward Shipwreck Beach.
PRIVATELY OWNED: All condos and homes are privately owned and managed by several management companies. Most are in good condition but furnishings, furniture, and location vary by owner. To understand exact locations see the resort map and pick a spot based on your preferences.
